UMAX is not liable for any loss of data or any costs associated with determining the source of defectiveness. Prior to the service of UMAX memory products, it’s strongly recommended to back up all the necessary data.
- 1. Warranty policy:
UMAX provides a 3Rs policy to our valued customers within the agreed warranty period – Refurbishments, Replacements, and Repairs. Prior to the services, please contact us for the authorization, an RMA number will be issued corresponds to the claim. UMAX will not provide any service, no responsibility to the returned merchandise without our RMA number.
All returned defective products are subjects to refurbishment charges.
- 2. Limitation of warranty:
UMAX limited warranty does not cover the followings, hence the charged services:
- 1. Any bent, scratch, short circuit, and/or break of the connection pin on the PCB that result from accident, abuse, misuse, natural disaster.
- 2. EEPROM IC, memory dice, and/or other component damage on the PCB that results from accident, about, misuse, natural disaster.
- 3. Any damage that results from unauthorized disassemble, repair or modification.
- 4. Any product with torn and/or unrecognizable warranty label, marking.
- 5. Any damage results from a third party device that causes the UMAX product to fail.
- 6. Fabricated UMAX products that are not compatible with our system, and/or products that are not purchased from UMAX authorized channels.
- 3. Warranty Period:
- 1. DRAM Module: all Castor, Pulsar, and Cetus series are covered by a lifetime warranty*.
- 2. Flash Drive products: With the exception of other agreed warranty period, all UMAX Apus series of pen drives are covered by a 5 year warranty; contact our sales representatives for more details.
- 3. Flash memory cards: With the exception of other agreed warranty period, all UMAX flash memory cards are covered by a 5 year warranty; contact our sales representatives for more details.
